It is
not easy to describe the fun and joy of juggling since the act itself is
usually connected to “shows” and “performance” and it is widely believed
that only those who are talented or “born to perform” can exercise juggling
while the rest cannot.
World juggling Day tries to provide opportunities for everyone
to learn how to juggle and get to know the beauty of this object-manipulative
art. A juggler doesn’t have to be a performer and, of course, vice versa.
Through “Mercy Circus” it is proved that juggling helps everyone,
adults or children, on every aspect of life-learning, obstacle-overcoming,
leadership, a sense of achievement, positive self-image, body co-ordination
FUN, etc. Through practicing the different skills of object-manipulation,
a.k.a. juggling, it also helps people to understand their own bodies- the
limit, the potential, etc. as well as communicate with the rest of other
people.
In every way, juggling brings people together and promotes “da
fun” in our lives.
There are no other events like World Juggling
Day in Bangkok, Thailand, it is basically still
a brand new idea and concept amongst most of the
people and groups. As a result, there are no competitions
around the city. However, since juggling is still
not widely introduced to the Bangkokians, the perception
of this activity is still linked to “gai-ah-gam”
the “circus” or the “show”, which is not highly
valued in Asian.
