>> Whatever the season is, the tropical
climate asserts itself in the kingdom of high
temperatures all the year. The annual average
is 29 degrees C. But, three main tendencies
can be seen. The hot and wet season, marked
by the Thai New Year's day, Songkran (the
festival of water), quite begun in February,
officially starts in April and continues until
June (until 40/42°C). July, August and September
are the months of the rainy season . The stormy
downpours, intense and short, don't operate
very much on the thermometer, often close
to 32 degrees C. The come back to "fresher"
temperatures is done in September with some
sudden changes of mood of mother nature, appearing
with sporadic typhoons. The fresh season ,
of which the lowest point is in December,
flies until the end of January. (/JV) |
